  • How do I enroll my child in Our Lady of Lourdes School and when should the application be submitted? Enrollment begins in February each year.  You may start the admissions process clicking below. 

  • What is the criteria for admission into Our Lady of Lourdes School?  The admission criteria can be found on the Admissions Process page. 

  • What is the maximum class size at Our Lady of Lourdes School?  Our Pre-Kindergarten classes have a maximum class size of 20.  For Kindergarten through 8th grade our maximum class size is 28, however, our average class size is currently 22. 

  • How many classes per grade level can be found at Our Lady of Lourdes School? Our Lady of Lourdes School currently has 1 class per grade in elementary and 2 classes per grade in middle school (6th-8th).

  • What enrichment classes are offered at Our Lady of Lourdes School? Students at Our Lady of Lourdes School participate in Odyssey of the Mind.  In addition to the basic educational curriculum our students enjoy Music, Art, Physical Education, Spanish, Media, and Technology. 

  • Do students wear uniforms at Our Lady of Lourdes School? 
    Yes.  Uniforms can be purchased on campus.  Uniforms guidelines are listed in the Student/Parent Handbook and online 

  • What are the school hours at Our Lady of Lourdes School? 
    School hours for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade are 8:00am – 3:00pm.  Our VPK Program runs 8:00am – 11:00am, with extended day options available.

  • Is extended day-care available?
    Before school care is offered from 7:00 a.m. – 7:45 a.m.
    After school care is offered from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

  • Can parents volunteer? Our Lady of Lourdes School parents are an integral part of our school community and are actively involved in many areas of campus life. Parents are required to give the school 25  Volunteer Service hours per family every year as part of their Tuition Agreement.  The Home & School organization offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities for parents to share their time and talent. The Diocese of Orlando requires that all volunteers are fingerprinted through the Diocese.

  • Are there after school programs at Our Lady of Lourdes School? Our Lady of Lourdes offers a wide range of after school activities including sports, enrichment programs and honor societies.

  • What Melbourne private or public schools do students who graduate from Our Lady of Lourdes School attend? Many of our students continue their Catholic education by attending Melbourne Central Catholic High School (Brevard’s only Catholic high school).  There are also numerous public high schools in Brevard County.

  • Do your students attend Mass? All students attend mass on Thursday mornings and Holy Days of Obligation.  In addition, one class attends mass each morning.

  • Do we have to be Catholic to attend Our Lady of Lourdes School? Our Lady of Lourdes School accepts students of all faiths and religions.

  • Do you have a lunch program?
    Students may bring lunch from home or participate in our lunch program.  Hot lunch is available for $5.00 per day.
