Pre-K Programs

Our Lady of Lourdes school offers two Pre-Kindergarten programs. One for children two years away from Kindergarten (Pre-K3) and one for children who will be entering Kindergarten the following school year (Pre-K4).

Our Pre-school programs offer children a learning environment that is loving, challenging, hands on, developmental, and most of all - FUN! The preschool plans it's activities knowing that children learn by "PLAYING AND DOING". Developmentally appropriate child-centered experiences are provided to stimulate curiosity and to develop self-confidence and independence.

The center provides hands-on-learning experiences in an academic readiness program. Language is developed through stories, poems, songs, finger plays, through both one-to-one and whole group sharing. Play areas are provided where children can dream and make-believe. A variety of substances are manipulated providing sensory experiences. Through investigation and science experiments, the children learn about the world in which they live. Gross and fine motor skills are developed through physical activities and creative arts.

Through songs, storytelling of scripture, prayers, fingerplays, games and art activities the children learn about God's love. Self-concepts of LOVING, SHARING and CARING are encouraged.
