Student Accomplishments

Congratulations to the following Science Fair winners:
Maya Derenthal 4th place, 5th grade physical division; Gavin Delgatto 5th place, 5th grade environmental division;
Ally Jaime 5th place, 5th grade biological division;  and Sashali Finol 5th place, 4th grade, biological.

Art Fair winners:
Aisha Thomas  1st place in 5th grade; and Teresa Kelley and Margot Jaime received honorable mentions in third grade.

 

Sports News
Congratulations to our runners who took part in Divine Mercy’s “Shamrock Shuffle” cross country race on Thurs- day, March 15th:
Paul Jaime: 2nd place overall and 1st in age group
Ally Jaime: 5th place overall and 1st   in age group

 

Diocesan Art Show Representatives
Congratulations to the following students who were selected to represent our school at the Diocesan art show at Bishop Moore High School this weekend: Margot Jaime, Shaylee Markel, Amanda Beach, and Katie Kelley.

A big congratulations to Amanda Beach, 7th grade, and Katie Kelley, 8th grade, for receiving Honorable Mention
ribbons at the Diocese of Orlando art show this past Saturday. Art teacher Mrs. Napolitano said, “We have many
talented students at Our Lady of Lourdes. All are big winners in my eyes!”

OLL Geography  Bee                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Patrick DeRosa, 6th, who was the overall winner of the recent OLL Geography Bee, and to Eric Johanning, 6th, who was the runner up

OLL Spelling Bee                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Mary Kate Kelley, 8th for winning the OLL Spelling Bee, and Christine Pasonski, 7th who was the runner up.

Brevard County Spelling Bee: Congratulations to Mary Kate Kelley, 8th grade, for finishing in the top 5 in the
Brevard County Spelling Bee. Coordinator Jennifer Cockrell said this year’s Spelling Bee lasted 27
Rounds, with only the final two competing in rounds 12-26. What an exciting bee!

Honor Roll for second quarter: 

FIRST HONORS—6th Grade: Zachary Davidson, Eric Johanning, Connor Justin and Daniel Kelley; 7th Grade: Amanda Beach and Madeline Jones; 8th
Grade: Arielle Cortes, Gregory Johanning, Mary Kate Kelley and Ingrid Ortiz.
SECOND HONORS– 6th Grade: Chandler Gandolfi, Liam Kelly, and Christie Thomas; 7th Grade: Tyller Dieckhaus, Katie Ford, Paul Jaime, Samantha Novak, Christine Pasonski and Casey Sanchez; 8th Grade: Otto de Vries, Liliana DeMore and Giovanni Thomas.

Giovanni Thomas, 8th grade, auditioned on Saturday at Our Lady of Grace for the
Bring on The Talent competition and has been selected as one of the Semi-Finalists!

NJHS & Spanish Honor Society Inductees
Hats off to the following students who were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society on Wednesday: Devin Allen, Gillian Annas, Amanda Beach, Liliana Demore, Madeline Jones, Christine Pasonski, Mary Kate Kelly, Samantha Novak and Kristine Sanchez.

Mr. Kasch is the NJHS sponsor.

Congratulations to the following students who were inducted into the Spanish Honor Society on Wednesday:
