Fingerprinting Info

Planning on volunteering this year at school. The Diocese of Orlando requires covered employees and volunteers to receive two levels of screening: Fingerprinting and Background Check; and  Safe Environment Training.

Please keep in mind that the volunteers  who have not completed both Level I and Level II may not volunteer unless or until they complete both levels of screening.  Only after completing the these requirements will the individual be able to volunteer his or her service in the parish or school.

Volunteers must first register to be fingerprinted at www.orlandodiocese.org and complete fingerprint requirements, background checking and the Safe Environment training. New employees and volunteers are asked to first register online for an appointment to be fingerprinted and background checked. During the registration process, applicants will be provided with a bar code. Applicants must then use that same bar code to register for the Safe Environment Training.

Volunteers may fulfill their Safe Environment Training (Level 1) requirement by viewing a 20-minute video and taking a subsequent online test which takes about 5 minutes. This web-based training is available 24/7 and may be accessed at our website at www.orlandodiocese.org.
