How do I enroll my child in Our Lady of Lourdes School and when should the application be submitted? Enrollment begins in February each year.  Contact the school office for an Admissions Packet.                                                                                                                                                                                  
What criteria are used for admission to Our Lady of Lourdes School?  Admission Criteria

What is the maximum class size at Our Lady of Lourdes School?  Our pre-kindergarten classes have a maximum class size of 18.  For kindergarten through 8th grade our maximum class size is 28, however, our average class size is currently 16. 

How many classes per grade level at Our Lady of Lourdes School? Our Lady of Lourdes School currently has 1 class per grade.  

What enrichment classes are offered at Our Lady of Lourdes School?  Students at Our Lady of Lourdes School participate in Odyssey of the Mind, Future Problem Solvers.  In addition to the basic educational curriculum our students enjoy Music, Art, Physical Education, Spanish, Media, and Technology. 

Do students wear uniforms at Our Lady of Lourdes School?  Yes.  Uniforms can be purchased on campus.  Uniforms guidelines are listed in the Student/Parent Handbook and online 

What are school hours at Our Lady of Lourdes School?  School hours for students in Kindergarten – 8th grade are 8:00am – 3:00pm.  Students attending our Pre-kindergarten program have the option of staying staying until 12:30pm or 3:00pm.

Yes.  Before school care is offered from 7:00 a.m. – 7:45 a.m.
After school care is offered from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
 
Can parents volunteer?
Absolutely.  Our Lady of Lourdes School parents are an integral part of our school community and are actively involved in many areas of campus life. The Home & School organization offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities for parents to share their time and talent. The Diocese of Orlando requires that all volunteers are fingerprinted through the Diocese.
Are there after school programs at Our Lady of Lourdes School?
Our Lady of Lourdes offers a wide range of after school activities including sports, enrichment programs and honor societies.
What Melbourne private schools or public schools do students who graduate from Our Lady of Lourdes School attend?
Many of our students continue their Catholic education by attending Central Catholic High School (Brevard’s only Catholic high school).  There are also numerous public high schools in Brevard County.
 
Do your students attend Mass?
All students attend mass on Thursday mornings and Holy Days of Obligation.  In addition, one class attends mass each morning.

Do we have to be Catholic to attend Our Lady of Lourdes School?
No.  Our Lady of Lourdes School accepts students of all faiths and religions.
 
Do you have a lunch program?
Yes. Students may bring lunch from home or participate in our lunch program.  Hot lunch is available for $3.50 per day.
