The academic, athletic, and spiritual foundations that I learned at Our Lady of Lourdes have continued to guide me through my career at MCC. Attending OLL for nine years has taught me how to succeed in my accomplishments, grow in my faith, and serve my community. The morals I have learned at OLL will continue to help me with the decisions I make in my future life.

Reflecting upon my life thus far, I attribute a great deal of my personal and professional success to experiences and knowledge gained from my Catholic education—most specifically throughout my years (K-8) at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic school. OLL provided a strong foundation of faith and education that has contributed to the confidence and wisdom that has enabled me to build a successful career as a CPA.
When my husband and I moved back to Melbourne, Florida to start our family, Our Lady of Lourdes was our first choice for our children’s education. We have two children, ages 6 and 8 years old. They have attended the school since pre-school and are continuously challenged by their teachers who both nurture their spirituality and motivate them to exceed their potential scholastically. Father Karl and the church staff are active influences in their lives through sacrament preparation, the participation of the weekly school masses, and Sunday masses with the entire faith community.
The Our Lady of Lourdes community is special and unique. It is difficult to express in words; however, as the representatives from the Diocese of Orlando described during a recent visit to the school,
“There is something very special about Our Lady of Lourdes, and you feel it from the moment you step foot on the campus”.
Having been established over 50 years ago, Our Lady of Lourdes has a rich history in this community. Our family is blessed to be a part of it once again.

When I think back on my childhood, I inevitably think of Our Lady of Lourdes. Our Lady of Lourdes is the place where I was baptized, it is where I spent 9 years (K-8th grade) of my academic career, it is where I developed my faith, and it has given me a good foundation on which I stand today. Many of the friends I met at OLL are still some of my closest friends today. OLL was my home away from home and it is where I learned to succeed.
